Warpaint Outdoors Trail Work Party #1

Warpaint Outdoors is excited to announce our Volunteer Service Agreement with the Mount Hood National Forest Service. We will host 3 multi-day, overnight camping trail work, and group ride events through the summer and fall of 2024. Each trail work location is approximately 1.5 - 2 hrs from Portland and Bend, Oregon. We will be doing maintenance throughout the Bear Trap Trail Mtn Bike System.

Our first event will be along the Clear Creek Trail from Friday, June 28 - Sunday, June 30th.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Everyone is welcome! The outdoors belong to all of us! If you have never worked on trails, we will help you every step along the way. We will provide safety gear (helmets, gloves, tools, etc.). If you have experience working on trails, let us know if you want to lead a small team during the event.

If you have your USFS certification for chainsaw or crosscut saw, you must bring your own saw, chaps, eye protection, and a copy of your certification card (physical copy or photo on your phone.)

The work for this event is mostly brushing (trimming back overgrowth), tread restoration, and improved signage placement.

SCHEDULE - BASE CAMP - CLEAR CREEK CROSSING CAMPGROUND  - The USFS in Mt Hood is generously offering to reserve campsites for us. The site includes a vault toilet. However, there is no running water so please plan to bring your own. The site is accessible to any vehicle (car, truck, etc.)

Directions from Portland - Pin drop on Google Maps
